Tips for gathering evidence to demonstrate your skills

The important thing to remember when gathering evidence is that the more evidence the better - that is, the more evidence you gather to demonstrate your skills, the more confident an assessor can be that you have learned the skills not just at one point in time, but are continuing to apply and develop those skills (as opposed to just learning for the test!). Furthermore, one piece of evidence that you collect will not usualy demonstrate all the required criteria for a unit of competency, whereas multiple overlapping pieces of evidence will usually do the trick!

RIIARO306 - Respond to obstructions to autonomous operations

What evidence can you provide to prove your understanding of each of the following citeria?

Plan and prepare to monitor and reset autonomous operations

  1. Obtain, interpret, confirm and clarify work instructions
  2. Identify and confirm autonomous systems and components involved in work activity
  3. Access, interpret and apply documentation required to monitor and reset autonomous operations and confirm work activity is compliant
  4. Identify and confirm own role and responsibility in autonomous operations value chain according to organisational requirements
  5. Select and wear personal protective equipment according to site requirements
  6. Select and obtain tools and equipment required for work activity in proximity to autonomous systems and components
  7. Obtain permits and clearances according to job and site requirements
  8. Identify potential risks and hazards, implement control measures within scope of own role, and escalate where required
  9. Obtain and interpret emergency procedures and identify steps required to respond to emergencies
  10. Coordinate and communicate planned activities with other personnel in work area according to site requirements
